Salvimar Waistcoat Drop
Well made and almost perfect
I have always struggled with belts when freediving, I find they twist round or slide up my stomach when descending and inverted. I bought this harness as an alternative and loaded it up with 6 x 1kg lead shot pouches. They fit into the inside of the vest, each section has a small circle cut out of the inner layer of neoprene and you stretch this out to pop the weights in. I think you would struggle to fit traditional, solid lead weights but the pouches slip in okay. In use the harness fits well, the neoprene is very soft and there is a chest strap and a tail strap that clips onto your normal weight belt. Both of these straps are length adjustable. I have found that the harness tends to twist a little bit when I dive down and there is a bit of movement as the harness slides upwards. I am still working out the best way to fix this issue and am confident I will get it sorted out. I rate this above using a belt as the previous issues are pretty much gone and only a few details remain to be ironed out.
