Details for Suunto D9 Titanium with Transmitter
Suunto D9 Titanium with Transmitter:
The worlds first All-in-one dive computer
Suunto D9 is the worlds first dive computer to integrate a digital compass and wireless tank data reception.
Underwater a diver must monitor several gauges to receive the crucial information about the dive: depth, time, tank pressure, decompression status and direction to name just a few. Suunto D9 combines all dive-critical information in one instrument, conveniently mounted on your wrist. Instead of monitoring a multitude of gauges, you can concentrate on what is important - diving.
Suunto D9 is the worlds first dive computer to incorporate a digital compass. The compass shows the general direction with a graphical compass rose, as well as the exact bearing with a numerical display. Headings can be stored in Suunto D9s memory for later analysis. The compass can naturally be used on land too.
By using Suunto D9s optional wireless transmitter, the diver can also monitor tank pressure and air consumption data from the wrist. The remaining tank pressure is displayed both numerically and graphically, and an estimation of the remaining air-time is given throughout the dive. This allows the diver to monitor the remaining air supply at the same time as he monitors depth and time. Real time air consumption is also stored in the memory.
Suunto D9 can be used with up to three different gas mixes containing 21-100% oxygen, allowing gas switching during the dive. Decompression calculations are based on the Suunto Deep Stop RGBM model, which provides iterative deep stops as an alternative to traditional safety stops. For those intending to go really deep, the maximum depth display is set at 200m [660ft].
In addition to basic dive data, the built-in dive logbook provides a graphical dive profile where real time water temperature and tank pressure data can be analyzed on the wristop computer. The sampling rate can be set to as low as 1s.
The beautifully designed Suunto D9 has a titanium housing and includes an USB-compatible PC interface and the Suunto Dive Manager 2.0 software. Suunto D9 has two different straps to choose from - the traditional black elastomer as well as the luxury titanium strap.
Instead of monitoring information from several sources, Suunto D9 provides you with all the crucial information from a single source, conveniently mounted on your wrist.
The integrated digital compass can be accessed from both DIVE and TIME modes, and provides a graphical compass rose display and numerically displayed bearings. Bearings can be locked, and visual aids are provided for navigating set courses or for pattern navigation. Headings can be stored in the memory for later analysis using the memory functions or the PC interface.
Suunto D9 can be used with the optional Suunto Wireless Transmitter. When enabled it provides the diver with tank pressure and air-time information, as well as a tank pressure bar graph. Real-time tank pressure data is stored in the memory, and can be later analyzed using the memory or PC interface functions.
Three different operating modes are available: Air, Nitrox and Gauge.
The air mode is for diving with standard air, whereas the nitrox mode provides an option for using up to three different gas mixes during the dive.
The gauge mode has several applications, such as for freediving. The profile-sampling rate can be set to as low as 1s, and the ascent rate monitoring can be disabled. The gauge mode also provides a dual display stopwatch, which allows the timing of underwater activities to the second. The maximum depth display of Suunto D9 is 200m/660ft.
Suunto D9 provides the user with an option to use traditional safety-stops, or to use deep stops. The deep stops are calculated iteratively throughout the dive, and the deep stop time can be set to 1 or 2min. The decompression calculations are based on the Suunto RGBM (Reduced Gradient Bubble Model).
The matrix display provides outstanding possibilities for post-dive analysis of the recorded information. In the memory mode the actual dive profile is graphically displayed, together with real time depth, time, tank pressure and temperature data. Locked compass bearings are also displayed in the profile.
The housing of Suunto D9 is made of titanium, with some stainless steel inserts. The display is made of scratch resistant mineral crystal glass, and the pressure rating is 20atm.
Suunto D9 comes with a USB-compatible PC-interface and the new Suunto Dive Manager 2.0 software.
Suunto D9 is the ultimate instrument of choice for all kinds of recreational, military and professional divers. Competitive divers such as freedivers, as well as technical divers, who do not compromise when it comes to the quality, materials and functionality of their equipment, will find Suunto D9 an invaluable diving aid.
Whether diving in familiar waters or exploring unknown oceans, safety is essential. Suunto D9 is packed with solutions that enable safe and responsible decisions underwater. The depth, time and decompression data, combined with the compass and air integration ensure that you know exactly how much time you can spend underwater, how deep you are, when you have to surface and how fast you can ascend. This way you can maximize your diving performance without jeopardizing your safety.
The extensive memory and logbook functions enable you to keep track of your previous dives and through them you can monitor your progress and plan your training accordingly.

Product rating 5 / 5
Excellent dive computer especially with the transmitter. All data you need for your diving at one place! Major difference between the D9 and Stinger is the compass function in the D9. Based on that the price difference maybe is to high. But what the hell, it looks great, so why not spend some money extra :-)
hello I can comment on that appliance and that he and the best computers I ve seen in Amadore suunto dive there .. congratulations
d9 la revolucion perfecta
I speak to have this magnificent revolutionary console dive watch, the price says it all .... but compared to performance data quality and valuation on dives is the best dive computer that currently exists in the market. SUUNTO Congratulations to this success.
look again at the specs!
The D9 has most of the features of the Vytec ie it does 3 gas mixes this is a major difference it is not a single mix nitrox computer!
I bought one, transmiter doesn t work properly. Got a new one, computer fails. This means that compass, computer and air info is gone when one single component fails!!! This is critical info!!! No wonder Suunto has the highest reecal rate of all computer manufacturers, this is dangerous!! I stay with my old Oceanic computer, at least it never fails!
I bought one and the first dive left me hanging on the safety stop, marking completely erroneous depths (it was 146 meters) to which obviously was not. I sent for repair and they sent me a new one. already I will tell you what happen
It is a good tool, but beware if you have to do many repetitive dives even when 50% risk that punishes much Aladin
D9 is an impressive machine with its performance and ease of use it. For those who want to indulge themselves with a watch in his computer and aesthetic.
FANTASTIC INSTRUMENT. FINALLY A PROFILE OF CHOSEN BY THE UNDERWATER DIVING: E CAN CHOOSE MANY OPTIONS (INCLUDING DEEP-STOP), STOPS RECOMMENDED AND / OR STATUTORY, UP TO 3 GAS NITROX ... AND THEN, COMPASS, DUAL TIME, DATA INTEGRATION AIR PROBE WITH ...... AND EVERYTHING SIMPLE AND INTUITIVE TO USE ...!
i am very very proud in the dive computers D9... because the frist time i am look is beuatyful... the performance,comfort... D9 can be save your life in your dive... and 1 week ago D9 save my life... dive spot in bunaken.. byeee.... thanks SUUNTO
d9 the new flagship
I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF REVIEWS ON THE D9 DIVE WATCH OUT OF ALL OF THEM NOT 1 BAD REVIEW SUUNTO MADE THE STINGER I BOUGHT IT AROUND 8 YEARS AGO IT IS STILL GOING STRONG NOW I BOUGHT THE D9 THE STINGER IS NOW MY BACKUP AND THE STINGER AFTER 8 YEARS IS STILL A HOT SELLER AND BEATS ALL THE DIVE WATCHES OUT THERE AND IT STILL HOLDS ITS VALUE LOWEST PRICE AROUND 0 AND UP TO 0 USD THE D9 JUST HAS IT ALL U CAN NOT FIND A DIVE WATCH THE EVEN COMPARES TO IT
Took about half a year with this wonderful computer and all praises are, I paracer machinery hovering almost perfectly, the only fault I had with the purchase was little he had to send to give an update of software, which was perfectly Suunto reported by Spain. If anyone have seen a very definitely on my part I would say go ahead, it disfruitareis in your upcoming dives
The deep stop function has made my diving a lot more enjoyable. I finish my dives far more relaxed with no sense of fatigue after 55 minute dives in 8 degree cent. water and depths down to 35 meters. A great computer.
The D9 would have to be one of the best computers I have ever used. From ease of function and readability to overall data recorded it is really impressive. If you can afford one then buy it. If you cant, save up for one!!! As for Scubastore service all I can say is WOW. Purchased on 16the Oct arrived 19th from Spain to Australia. Highly recommend both seller and product.
