BC-FEATURES:
- ERGO INFLATOR: The standard inflation and deflation control unit on Mares BCs, the ERGO inflator has been designed according to ergonomic guidelines.
Intuitive to use and offers maximum grip.
- TRIM WEIGHT: Two pockets in the back of the BC meant for non-ditchable weights which provide a better trim.
Each pocket holds 2.5kg/5.5lbs, and is secured with a quick release buckle plus velcro.
- MRS PLUS: Optimal ballast with a mechanical release system.
A simple click ensures easy and secure storage of the weight pockets.
A single outward pull on the oversized handle releases the weights.
Maximum load 6kg/13lbs. Velcro interior divides the pocket into multiple sections (M, L, XL).
- FOLDABLE BACKPACK: Maximizes the blend of comfort, lightness, and size.
Thanks to the grip provided by the rubber in contact with the tank, when open it ensures the unparalleled stability and comfort of a long backpack, but when folded it’s 30% shorter than a traditional backpack.

The “philosopher’s stone” lies in the complete separation of carrying system and buoyancy bag, optimized cuts, and new materials combined with a new kind of lightweight, foldable backpack.
The result is the generation “Hybrid” for her and him! A highly sophisticated hydrostatic balance device with unparalleled fit and trimming.
Owing to the complete separation of the carrying system, the Hybrid is more size-flexible than any other BC: Thanks to the new harness, all requirements can be met by just 3 sizes.
Whether diving in the tropics or beneath the ice, the Hybrid and Hybrid SheDives are adjustable across two sizes.
Talking about the tropics: The ultra-light carrying frame is now foldable! The entire BC can effortlessly be reduced to a pack size of 45 x 30 x 30 cm to make more space for personal travel items.
Ultra flat air dump valves, aluminum D-rings, perforations in the carrying frame, and the use of durable Cordura 420 contribute to aquadynamics and weight reduction.
To have everything compact on the body means minimal water resistance and maximal comfort.
MRS lead pockets and trim pockets, a height-adjustable chest strap, and a knife retainer are not always standard features – but at Mares they are!
