Descrizione e caratteristiche di Cressi Pro Star
Cressi Pro Star:

Just wanna know if there´s anyone inhere who has these fins and can tell me the ups & downs with them. My other alternatives are Volo Race or Avanti QP
Uw hockey fins?
Phil
Just wondering if anyone has tried this fin for underwater hockey. I have used Alas (which I love) and old Mares Ls (which are slightly more powerful than Alas - and more tiring to kick). I have also used several smaller fins like the Mares HP, but I feel that they don't make full use of my power on my dolphin kick. Any suggestions or comparisons regarding these Pro Stars would be appreciated. Thanks.
Re: uw-hochey-fin ?

I do not know about Hockey. I have tried them for UW-Rugby and they are OK to swim with but they are not my first choice as I do not get enough power from them. It is only interesting to not e that the material under the foot looks like it will fail quite early, as I stopped using them before that I do not know if they will fail. If I had a pair of good old grey ALA I would stick with them and not bother with this fin.

i was looking at these for uwhockey too. Phil, send me an email at jellolover1984@hotmail.com if you'd like to talk about hockey fins. I know the Cressi fins were popular in St. Louis about 10 years ago. they still have some really old models.
for people with such a trouble...

As for Short Blade , a small turn is effective, although Long Blade is too large and it becomes obstructive. Power of Short Blade is insufficient although Long Blade has sufficient impelling force. For people with such a trouble, PROSTAR is a best fin. Compared with other fins with the same performance, it is smaller, and is lighter.
Cressi prostar for underwater hockey

I have used the Cressi Pro Star for underwater hockey for about two years. I love the fin for hockey. They are slick and manuverable and not too heavy. They do have the power and speed when you need it. I do use the 10-11 size with a booty. The problem is they break after about six months of twice a week hockey. They are relatively cheap, so I'm still happy. I have tried the various Plana avanti fins that are widely used and I also have used the US Divers full foot blades which are now available under another name (?)---they are good, but this one is my favorite. Just buy a spare pair.

I bought these fins for underwater hockey and have been mostly disappointed with them. They don't feel powerful enough and the foot pocket is uncomfortable.
Warning!

My fins both broke after only one year! Of course UW-Rugby is a bit rough but still... Their weak link is where the harder blade meets the soft rubber foot, just by the toes(behing the triangular mark shown on the picture). They couldnt cope with the strong force and the rubber split open on the upper side and my toes were pinched stuck in the split. Otherwise a good fin though...
Warning 2 !!!!!
Peter
I play UW-Rugby also and about only one year and both fins broken .DON`T BUY IF YOU PLAY HARD WATER GAME !!!!
Both fins broke in 5 minutes!

I don't know its its a defect but the foot pockets got bent after a few kicks! now it squeese my feet very hard. Maybe it's because the integrated footpocket-blade?
They are great.

These fins are excellent. Very comfortable and are pretty powerful for their size. They are definitely NOT fins for UW rugby, hockey etc. And they dont sell them for that purpose! So dont but them if you are gonna be really rough with them. They are perfect for shallow diving, snorkeling, long distances. Very nice, I also have bought the Cressi Gara Professionals, the Pro Star are basicall the baby version of these. Use them as they were intended to be used.
What?
Alex
what are better this product, mares aventi superchannel or volo raca, can you answer me?thanks =) good day friends

Totalmente recomendables
