Ondanks alle goede afspraken met je buddy blijft het voor een duiker een angstvisioen dat opeens de luchttoever stokt. Ondanks alle trainingen waarbij buddys elkaar direct te hulp schieten kan het onder water spaak lopen. Veel duikongevallen zijn te relateren aan ademnoodsituaties. Net op het moment dat je zonder lucht komt te zitten is je buddy in de ban geraakt van een school vissen die de andere kant uit zwemt. Wil je als duiker risicos uitsluiten, dan is het slim om onder te duiken met Spare Air. Het is een systeem dat voldoende lucht bevat om een veilige opstijging te maken vanaf 40 meter diepte. Het aluminium tankje is keer op keer te vullen met lucht uit de eigen duikfles. De fabrikant uit het Californische Huntington Beach heeft met het systeem al heel wat duikers van een wisse dood gered.

i bought this spare air to be sure i have an extra breathe of air. i do alot of liveaboard holydays and profesional medical help is a long way from where you are and this way i can minimise risk. im fealing secure and this way i know it isnt a false feeling of beeing secure. P.S. having a alternate air source dous not meen that you dont watch your gauge so dont get sloppy.

well... i have been diving and resently, i actually ran out of air in my SCUBA tank...luckely i had my spair air next to me and i actually made it to the surface without any problems. i know that i am a verry yung and mabe barlie experianced diver... but i do have alot of fun while im diving. p.s. i always check my psi every 2 min :p

This piece of kit is most suited as shallow escape kit I.e.: Race boat's / plane?s or chopper escape device, as the previous comment explains there is insufficient available gas to use as a diving safety device..............

This is an excellent product: well made, with an outstanding company, and customer service behind it. I have owned my Spare Air for over 10 year, and had to use it 2 times.
