Sorry , i just check : the volo ( no power ) seems to be the first model ...the "power" model seems ( ? ) to have a greater surface ...!?

I'm stardet on a open water course for a couple of weeks a go and my intructor teached me frog kicks. I found out in the pool training that these fins does not work well with this "kicks". In the store (not yours) they said that these fins were great fins and I would have no problems with them.. But of course.. whit my luck.. they didn't work for me

Les Volo Race sont de bonnes palmes, très confortables. Elles demandent peut d'effort, mais ATTENTION elles sont FRAGILES. Après 10 mois d'utilisation le bout de la palme est déjà coupé (lien entre le caoutchouc et la partie rigide). Le système d'articulation est déjà complètement fissuré. J'avais eu le même problème sur ma premier paire de Volo. Le rapport Qalité/Prix est donc très mauvais.

Volo power or twin jet?

Hello... I've been using Scubapro Jet fins for some time, they tend to tire you after 45 min or so. Could anyone compare Volo Power and Scubapro TwinJet/TwinSpeed for me in terms of performence and comfort ?- I've heard that these twin wins are not good in current, can anyone verify that?. I'll check this site for the answer and it'll be good for other buyers as well. thanks.

The Twin Jet goes effordlessly through currents...no worries. Personally I use the old Volo's. I love the Mares fins! Cheers, a PADI Master Instructor

These fins are great they give a similar amount of trust as the Plana avanti x3 but with only half the effort i used both fins and fornd the Volo Power to be much easier to use on the down stroke they stay nice and flat unlike other fins I have used which tend to want to twist on the way down. Only bad thing I will say is you need to be gentle with the ABS strap clips. I put my fin on in a hurry and pulled the strap in such a way that I twisted it and snapped the buckle. But my brother has had his for two years and not broken his. so my advice would be buy these fins they are great but also but a spare set of bickles when ordering there only 10 Eur it would be money well spent.

Both the Mares VOLO POWER and Dacor TIGER look very similar; can any tell me which one to buy – I have been told that the VOLO is very good but I never seen the TIGER before now

the volo power its so good and the diffrent and the dacor tiger... the dacor tiger its the comfort for me... good luck for the mares product.... and then mares can be exit the new product in the year 2006... ok thanks...

I´ve read the quick comparison between the Volo race and the twin Jets, but in terms of performance. Which one is more light and which one has better thrust? Any feedback will do, I´m gonna buy one of those two, but unsure at the moment.

I have Bought the volo power about one and a half year ago and i am giving them a great Use. I need to say thet they are the best fins i ever had.I am diver since more then 15 years and i have used a few of them as many of you divers i guess. I need to recognize that the volo power are not Good to dive with currents,but for the rest of Normal diving for me they are defenetly thes best. Come over to noronha to a wreckdive too la corvetta.Amazing!! Thanks Michael(Brasil)

A warning to anybody thinking of buying these fins! I have made only 26 dives (10 months old) with these fins and they are falling to pieces allready, a lot of other people I know in my dive club had the same problem, I sent pictures to Scubastore and there help was excelent, BUT! Mares are not intrested and say it's ware and tare, be warned Mares are not easy people to deal with over waranty claims.Instuctors and divemasters at my club all recommend Scubapro Twin Speed fins and say avoid Volo Power fins, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

This is an update to my previous report on these fins, my wife has just managed to get her fins replaced by Mares after only 35 dives, I was not so lucky, we generaly agree that for boat diving on holiday (tropical waters) these fins are ok, but for shore diving where your fins take much more abuse, you should stay away from these fins, they are very very easly damaged. We have both moved over to Scubapro Twin Jets and have now found the best fins you can buy, they are a joy to swim with, not cheap! but then the best never is (indestructible) there are different colour twinjets black,grey & yellow, you should only buy the black as the others have to soft a compound material.

Propulsión y esfuerzo muy bien compensados, una pena que sean tan deviles en sus extremos la terminación de los nervios con las partes flexibles de goma son muy deviles. Despues de no mas de 20 inmersiones las tengo en observación permanente puesto que me salieron grietas. En el mismo modelo de otros buceadores les pasa lo mismo.
