I am very disappointed in this gun. I've used a Mares Cyrano for the last several years, and this Seac-Sub seems to be a poor imitation. There is no place to attach the spear when it is not loaded, and no place to keep the loader (unlike the Cyrano). This makes it very cumbersome to use. I would not recommend it.

Good value

I bought the 65 model - compact size makes it easy to load. Its the first speargun I've ever used, but so far so good, a spear holder and loader holder would be nice, but I manage without. I estimate the effective range to be anything less than 9ft.

I bought this speargun a few months ago and it is wonderful! It works just great! Yes.. It does not have a spear shaft holder and neither a place to keep the loader like the "high end" pneumatic spearguns from MARES but you get what you pay for, but honestly, for its super competitive price I can live happily without those features.. Two small details; 1) The hand grip has some small molding flashing and sharp edges that can abrade / cut your hand if you use it without gloves but with a fine emery file and / or sand paper you can smooth them off nicely. 2) The instruction manual is a little sparse on its technical details. But the truth is that with these guns Diveinn.com definitely have a winner in the price vs. performance formula, and I know because I collect them. I have over 50+ spearguns and know what works and what does not. Thanks for the super service you guys! My gear came promptly and I even got a call via the phone to resolve a small stocked-out item! Very prompt delivery! even over Christmas and new year. I am a very happy man. The guns look great. I have used a Mares Medi Sten for years (a great gun) The Seac sub is not inferior in build quality! This comes from a man who spends thousands of hours a year with a speargun in his hand. I am flying out to India in a few weeks, where I do most of my spearfishing, I will post another review when I have tested the gun thoroughly! Getting spare parts for Mares guns is a nightmare, this site offers many spare parts for seac sub guns at very very cheap prices. Dont hesitate! buy from Deeper blue / Dive Inn. Everything is cheap and on the basis of my experience you will recieve your goods very quickly. I could not be happier! David

Spent several days in India using the 900mm model and other days using my old Mares Medi sten. The Seac sub was very powerfull and accurate. My only criticism is that the trigger housing has some sharp edges that rub on your trigger finger. All in all I was very pleased with the gun, it caught me a few nice snapper and worked well.

I have bought to myself 65 model - the compact size very conveniently to charge. This first import gun, which I ever Used, very much ìîøüíîå. This gun seems to be well made and very powerful although I have not used it yet! I tried to load it using the technique shown in the book! Not sure I will be able to load it safely under water! I consider myself to be stronger than average and I am about six foot tall , but at 20 bars not sure I could load it without a great deal of problems. I have considerd letting some air out ! any Ideas. I gauged the power by the effort it takes to load it! Any Ideas !

A great gun but impossible to load as received. It was overpressurised. I recommend depressurisimng fully EXACTLY according to manual and re-charging as required. Very well made, lots of quality parts at a great price. Shipped to Florida USA in 3 days! Great service scubastore.

I have owned a 90 for 10 years used a lot and never had a problem with it. The gun has never been taken apart. A few months ago I found this store and now I have two 90's and 40. Got them with extra spears and tips. My son and daughter are shooting fish with new Asso guns, masks and snorkles. I wish I would have found this store sooner.

Produit à mon sens équivalent aux autres pneumatiques. Trois critiques:ces fusils sont trop lourds en tête manquant de flottabilité(un manchon de néoprène bricolé est utile), la notice est muette sur le chargement basse pression qui semble se faire en plusieurs fois comme avec un pompe à vélo poussant l'air au travers d'un clapet anti retour, il manque un manomètre assorti. Gonflé à 20 bars la puissance est médiocre^pour la pleine eau et les performance en dessous des arbalètes. L'ideal est sans doute de gonfler à 25 voir 30 bars si ce n'est pas dangereux et de disposer de flèches de 6,5. Dans ces conditions la maniabilité de ces fusils pourrait les promouvoir.

Quisiera saber si las medidas de los fusiles corresponden a su longitud total,es decir, si el 90 tiene 90 cm o el 115 ,si tiene 115 cm .De donde a donde se miden ? Por lo demas son excelentes para la caza submarina,muy potentes,ligeros y seguros.Hace mas de 20 anos que pesco con ellos desde Cuba,en la playa de Jaimanitas.Gracias

I own 2 seac sub guns at this time a 115cm and a 65cm. I Recently used the 115 off the texas gulf coast. This gun is a keeper. Lots of power and very accurate. the only problem is loading it. I am six foot tall and can barely reach the end of the spear when setting the handle of the gun on my instep, if I use a standard tip. when I added the 4in long breakaway tip. I had to make a loader extension. Just a some 400 lb mono a 6in peice of speargun band and of course the loader handle with an extra hole drilled in the other end of T. Run the line through both holes in the t handle and the 6in speargun rubber. measure how much line to use so you can set the loader on the tip of the spear and reach the speargun rubber,while the handle of the gun is on your instep. then use line crimps and like magic you have a loader extension. Remember put the handle of the gun on your instep and use your knees to hold the gun steady then grab the loader extenion with one hand and grab the spear with the other about six inches above the muzzle. then load in inrements . Pull down about six inches with both hands then hold constant pressure with the loader hand and grab another six inches of spear pull again with both hands repeat until you can reach the t handle with your non loader hand set the spear in place. Remember this is a very dangerous process Please get someone to that knows how to demonstrat this process. I hope this help someone out there. Not responsible for accidents.

hi there, for those that have trouble loading. The first time you load it ever wil be the hardest. I have a asso 115. and i am 6 ft and the first time i used it it took everything in me to load it. i put the but against my finn in the h20 and pushed with both hands. the more you use it the better it will get. also depending on if u use it on light or heavy shot in the trigger. you can change it to the lower and it will load easier. but this will retard the muzzel velocity therefore restricting the size of fish you shoot for. one more thing these guns are only good from 1 to 12 meters. If you use these guns lower then 12 meters therepower will be alot less due to the atmosheres of pressure on the gun. I have had my gun for years. It has never let me down once. Although some of you are right in what you say about not having anywhere to put sharft etc. all the best.
