Use of mares avanti excel for underwater hockey

Bought to replace Technisub Stratos - fin most commonly used here in New Zealand. I play forward and want a powerful fin with a good blade area to get max speed. I was dissapointed in this fin as it has a relatively small blade area and is relatively soft (compared to old Quattro) Could be good for backs who like the manoueverability. On a positive note the fin is easily driven so not tiring to use and the footpocket is soft and comfortable.
Avanti excel or avanti tree for underwater sports?

I'm playing Underwater rugby and Underwater Hockey for now 4 years with Avanti Tree but they're getting soft. Avanti Tree are really good fins. Looking now for new fins or I will buy the same if I don't find anything else. Are those one better than the Avanti Tree for underwater Hockey and Rugby??? Power, handling?

Very frustrated that Mares have chosen to discontinue the size 43 to 44... thay have every other size but this... guess I will have to change manufacturers after many loyal year buying Mares fins.

Hi there, I found this fin a great compromise between power and still a soft fin. These days in Australia, every shop will try to sell you split fins that get you nowhere with a bit of current unless you go for a hard rubber model. With the Avanti, you still give yourself a chance to get back to the boat. Small and convenient as well if you travel! Lionel

Son bastante buenas, ligeras y con muy buena potencia. El disenyo del zapato molesta un poco al principio pero se puede soportar.
