Descripción y características de Cressi Pro Light
Cressi Pro Light:
Prolight es la sucesora del mítico modelo Frog.
De ella hereda su característica fundamental que prolonga la pala sobre el calzante, pero aplicando nuevos materiales y un diseño mejorado.
El resultado es una aleta de dimensiones medias, con una reactividad sorprendente y un gran rendimiento propulsivo.
La pala nace directamente de la parte superior del calzante, uniendo la aleta al pie y transmitiendo todo el esfuerzo generado al aletear sin pérdidas de energía a través de las zonas blandas.
Este formato permite canalizar el agua desde el mismo tobillo hasta el borde final de la pala, a diferencia de los modelos tradicionales, en los que el calzante no tiene aportación alguna sobre el avance.
Aparte de mejorar la direccionalidad del aleteo, este diseño proporciona unas prestaciones entre un 10 y un 15 superiores a las que les correspondería a la aleta por su superficie de pala.
Materiales:
Cuerpo principal de polipropileno: un material heredado de las aletas de apnea que tiene como principal característica la rapidísima transmisión de la energía aplicada y su gran rigidez estructural.
Se aplica a la pala y zona interna del sándwich de la suela.
Es muy nervioso y reactivo y facilita un aleteo muy ágil y efectivo.
Tiene una relación esfuerzo/rendimiento netamente superior al caucho (natural o termoplástico), el poliuretano o la E.V.A. Asimismo tiene una gran resistencia a la rotura hasta el punto de que Cressi lo garantiza de por vida para uso deportivo.
Elastómero flexible: se aplica al calzante y las zonas (puntera del calzante, interior de la suela y zona del empeine en contacto con el tobillo) que requieren flexibilidad y elasticidad, ya que influyen en el confort del buceador.
Se asigna también a las zonas que requieren capacidad antideslizante (con inserciones en la suela) y antigolpe (como los nervios laterales de la pala). La fusión de ambos materiales se realiza a nivel molecular y su solidez está garantizada de por vida para uso deportivo.
Sección longitudinal -spina di pesce-: este concepto, heredado de las aletas de apnea, implica que la pala tenga un grosor decreciente a medida que se acerca a la punta.
De esta forma, la recuperación del arqueo, que el aleteo induce en la aleta, provoca un efecto -látigo- al recuperarse la pala.
Además, hace que la flexión de la aleta sea mucho más progresiva, mejorando la direccionalidad del aleteo.
Calzante en tres volúmenes diferentes, con la zona central estrechada para que el pie se mantenga firmemente fijado en su interior y la transmisión del esfuerzo pie/calzante/pala sea directa y precisa.
Prolight es una excelente combinación entre:
Potencia: gracias a su composición longitudinal bastante rígida.
Velocidad: gracias a las prestaciones del polipropileno.
Aprovechamiento del esfuerzo: gracias a sus materiales y al perfil de espesor decreciente.
Manejabilidad: dada su longitud moderada.
La ligereza y el equilibrio de los materiales, unidos a un diseño muy moderno, hacen de Rondine Pro Light una aleta generosa, que proporciona una prestaciones exuberantes con un desgaste físico limitado.
Muy versátil, es idónea tanto para el buceador novel como el profesional o los instructores y buceadores técnicos.

I have never used any fins. I'm interested in the "pro lights" because they don't seems to weight too much. (Hoping to travel to Thailand and snorkeling next year) Has anyone bought them? Are you happy with them or will someone recommand a fin to me Please help me out!

I've just bought the Cressi Pro Light and have used them for diving in the Red Sea. I was amazed with how little I have to work for it. The light weight and the flexibility of the fin makes it easy to do long dives without getting tired. Highly recommended.

The first day I had these out the plastic clip spring broke and only for a cable tie and a helpful boat driver I would have missed an afternoons driving. In fairness to Scuba store a few emails was enough to get spares sent out immediately at no extra charge. Havent had the fins out since but propulsion wise Id say fine. Just be carefull and dont force the clips

When purchasing CRESSI fins to wear with a drysuit, we suggest that you buy a pair of fins that are 1 size bigger than what you would normally use.

HI.... I would recommand S-M if you use shoe size 38. :-) this fins are really good for snorkeling size: 42-44 are M-L the best...
